We had to temporarily shelve our podcast series in order to get the new website up and running but I'm pleased to announce that it's back and here to stay. This is the ninth No Ripcord podcast - our first since October 2007 - and it provides a showcase of some of the finest music of the last six months.

It's been a long time coming but you'll be pleased to hear that our eighth podcast is finally available for download. The fun begins with Animal Collective's epic Fireworks, which is followed by further four prime cuts from some of the autumn's finest indie rock releases. After that, we turn our attention to one of favourite record labels, Brighton's Fat Cat, for a special label feature. Watch out for that Songs of Green Pheasant tune in particular. . . .

In typical No Ripcord fashion, our seventh podcast is ever so slightly later than planned. Hopefully the quality of the music will make amends, though, as I think it's one of our best yet. And, yes, I know I always say that but this month I mean it just that little bit more. We've got our usual mix of established indie acts (Spoon, Caribou, Figurines) and up and coming talent (Pale Young Gentlemen, Remote Islands, Virgin Passages) and if you can't find something here to get very excited about... well, I probably wouldn't advise subscribing to our RSS feed. . . .
