Through a mixture of surefire hits, exclusive performances and risks that paid off, the New York City festival came roaring back this year, proving that it's earned its place as one the country's best. 

Half the tracks in this week's Singles Bar score 7/10 or higher. It must be an unprecedented vintage week, but who will come away with the prestigious Singles Bar crown?

It's fairly quiet in the Singles Bar this time, which is probably just as well as Joe's not available to review this week's new releases. But, even though it's an unexceptional line-up, that's not to say that there's nothing of interest on offer.
